FV is used a lot where i work and having x-plane feed it is awesome. When I get more time I'll take screens to better show the flow. Click connect, and you should be good to go at this point. Once that's done, fire up FV, open up the Moving Map tool bar, click on settings, and set it to listen in on the other virtual port you set up. #FALCON VIEW DOWNLOAD SERIAL#Select one of the ports you set up in the serial port emulator. Next step is to start up X-Plane, go into Equipment settings, click the Equipment Tab and choose the button to dump NMEA data. Once you do that, click the play button to engage them. Once you've installed it and have it running, click "Create new device" and choose "Pair". However, once you get FV going, it's pretty easy.įirst step is to go to and get the Virtual Serial Ports Emulator. As for the opensource version, I'm not sure where to get the map CADRG data anyways since I got all mine through military sources. I'm not going to talk about the installation of FV or maps as that's an entirely different subject. ![]()
